A winner of both the USA and World champions in hurdle events, Lolo Jones has reached her current position after a lot of struggle and immense patience. Jones was the only child of a five-child family, and grew up living in poverty. Her mother and she lived at a basement church and was constantly in motion. Brandt, who was raised within Cape Town South Africa with her parents and siblings, immigrated into Auckland New Zealand when she was in her late teens. Brandt was discovered locally by casting directors, and was offered the part of Naevia, in the Starz hit show Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. In collaboration with the producers Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi she captivated audiences with her performance and became one of the show's most memorable starlets.
